I've had to completely take the keyboard appart, including ripping out the buttons. In order to get the
cable properly

I've assembled most of the keys back to what they were.

You can see the EL Cable inverter here. It takes in 12V DC and produces around 1000V @ 160Hz
|

I've installed a small plug for the inverter so that I can hook up power to the keyboard whenever I need it without
unsightly cables when I don't need it.

I gotta figure out what's the maximum voltage allowed on the EL Cable and may boost it in the future.
